As much as we celebrate growth, we—like many other small businesses—also face challenges right now that we want to tackle transparently with you:
Rising Shipping Costs
Why am I being charged $12 to ship one soap to (Insert place in Australia)?
This is probably one of the most common questions we get asked, and it's a great question as I know on the surface it looks too expensive.
Shipping is one of our biggest costs. And it just keeps rising. When you factor in the shipper boxes, the packaging process along with the freight costs, we are definitely not making any money on shipping and it generally costs more than $12, which we make up the difference.
Starting July 1st, we will ever so slightly increase our standard shipping fee to $12.50. However, we're committed to lightening the load wherever we can. That’s why we continue to offer free shipping on orders over $65 and a 15% discount for our first-time shoppers.
Additionally, we’ve introduced an option for shipping insurance at just $1.50 for domestic packages, which you can opt out of. Unfortunately, we've noticed an increase in damaged and lost parcels with Australia Post and feel this is the correct way to tackle this. It ensures that if there’s any mishap—be it loss or damage—we've got you covered, and we'll replace your order, no fuss.
Rising Raw Material Costs
Like many small businesses, we’re navigating a surge in costs, especially for crucial raw materials. For instance, the cost of olive oil—a key ingredient in our beloved soaps—has doubled.
To sustain our business while continuing to offer quality and value, we'll be adjusting our prices on some products starting July 6th.

We've really tried to minimize the price rises as much as we can. And we're also giving advance notice because we want to give you the opportunity to beat the price rise with the older pricing available for another week.
