Moving Warehouses: The Next Chapter for ANSC

When Anthony and I started The Australian Natural Soap Company, we were literally making soap in our kitchen. What started as a small experiment quickly turned into something much bigger. Soon, every surface in our house was covered in soap tins, ingredients, and packaging materials. Our kitchen bench became a production line, our living room a drying rack, and our spare room a makeshift warehouse. We knew we needed more space—fast.

That’s when we moved into what felt like an enormous warehouse. At the time, it seemed impossibly big. We were using just a tiny fraction of the floor space to make soap, and we couldn’t imagine ever filling it. But as ANSC grew, so did our need for more room. Before we knew it, that “big” warehouse was packed to the brim.

Eventually, we bought a second factory to keep up with demand and moved all our soap-making operations there. The original space became our warehouse and pick-and-pack hub—but now, we’ve officially outgrown that too. It’s time to move again.

This move isn’t just about upgrading to a bigger space—it also coincides with our 11th anniversary since we first set up shop at South Melbourne Market for retail. That was the moment ANSC truly took off, and this milestone is the perfect time to reflect on how far we’ve come. It’s a milestone—a sign of how far we’ve come. From making soap in our tiny kitchen to running a business that serves thousands of customers across Australia, this is a moment to reflect on everything we’ve built.
